Success Story: Brody Fabio | Oakmont Martial Arts

Print Friendly

Six-year old Brody Fabio may be small in size, but that’s the only small thing about him. Everything else, from his smile to his enthusiasm to his heart, is as big as it gets.

Brody, now a purple belt, has been studying taekwondo for about a year and a half. His goal is to earn his Black Belt – and be just like Bruce Lee. “He’s really cool,” said Brody.

Brody’s mom, Mandy, has definitely seen a difference in her son. “He’s more focused,” she said. “He’s serious about it. He puts 150% into it when he’s here.”

If that sounds like a lot of work, it is. But for Brody, it’s all about the fun. “I would tell my friends that they should do it (taekwondo) because it’s fun,” he said.

Brody has also taken a turn in the tournament ring. It’s a big accomplishment for any student, but especially for a Tiny Tiger. But Brody takes it all in stride. “The tournament, it was fun because you get to do different things,” he said. “You get to do your form and weapons. The first one I didn’t do weapons. But the second one I did nunchuks. They’re fun. I got to do the figure eight.”

And for Brody, that’s what it’s all about – fun.
