hennemusic: Black Star Riders complete debut album

Former Thin Lizzy members – now known as Black Star Riders – have completed the recording of their debut album.

“Album is done” was the message posted by the band Monday, just three weeks after the group entered the studio with producer Kevin Shirley.

After touring the past few years as Thin Lizzy, the lineup adopted the new band name to start the project with a clean slate, and out of respect to the legacy of the late Phil Lynott.

The band has been sharing updates from the studio over the course of the sessions, during which they were recording a track per day.

Song titles include “Hoodoo Voodoo”, “Kingdom Of The Lost”, “Bound For Glory”, “All Hell Breaks Loose” and “Someday Salvation” .

Late next month, the group will perform as Thin Lizzy during a series of Australian dates with KISS and Motley Crue, as well as playing some of their own headlining shows in the country.
